I went to Entertainment City this November... It's not really that exciting. They have an amazing new rollercoaster(finally, one that actually goes UPSIDE DOWN!) but the ride, though thrilling, finishes too fast. I don't remember the Worlds, either, but they weren't a big thing. I mean, it didn't even seem like the rides stuck to the themes of the world. I loved the Jandool, which is the little vessel you can ride with 5 of your friends and get soaking wet in the process. It's funner when you're 10 people in a little boat-thing that can hold a MAXIMUM of 6 lol. Umm, what else? I liked the little log ride where you also get wet hehehe. That's pretty much it for Entertainment City...
Shaab Park is also interesting. The rides are more fun in Shaab but the problem with it is it's always crowded by really undesirable teenagers. There's an ice-skating rink, a moving cinema(I think there's also one in EC, but I'm not 100% sure), and an amazing ride where they strap you(either alone or with up to 3 friends) in and release you from a very high point, and you get to see the whole of Kuwait before you're falling and trying not to scream. That's VERY fun. There are a bunch of little carnival games where you can win like a stuffed bear or something like that for shooting three ducks in a row or making all your balls fall into a basket. You know the kind. It'd be romantic if it wasn't so crowded.
Where else? The malls, of course. Nobody goes to Sharq anymore, it's more of a family place, and mostly 3agad people go there. Fanar is smaller than most of the malls, but it's still a great place to shop. Marina Mall, of course, is where most of Kuwait is during the weekends. It's a great place. There's Marina Crescent, which is right on the beach and it's where the cafes are, and it's a great place to walk during the winter. It's always crowded during the weekends, though, so I'd advise you to go during the weekdays. Marina itself is a great place for both shopping and leisure. There are some really good cafes/restaurants there and it's where Marina FM is situated. There's also Marina Hotel, which is gorgeous and has an amazing view of the ocean, but it also has an unsavoury reputation. I don't care about that, though, it's got a premium location, amazing views and beautiful rooms.
Whew. Okay I'm done.
